Tegenungan Waterfall is probably the easiest to access waterfall in Bali since it is a short drive from Ubud. Most likely it will be crowded like most of the popular tourist attractions in southern Bali. Of course there is a reason that everyone goes here. It is an awesome waterfall.
Rating and length – moderately easy – 1km – 30 min to an hour round trip
How to get there – It is about 10 kms southeast of Ubud on Jalan Raya Sutami. It is well known by drivers and if you are on a scooter you can probably ask any local for help finding it.
The hike – It is a short hike (10 minutes) down many stairs to the river and then it is a short distance to the waterfall walking across rocks and makeshift bamboo bridges (ankle deep water). There are drink stands at the top with an elevated view of Tegenungan Waterfall in the distance. There is also an interesting cold shower to rinse off if you go swimming.
Entrance cost – 10,000 IDR and 5000 IDR for parking (car)
