The second tier during dry season.
Singsing Waterfall is easy to get to from Lovina on the northern coast of Bali. It might be a fine waterfall during the wet season but there is no reason to go during the dry season (Apr to Nov). This is also where I encountered the rudest guide in Bali. I thought things were going to turn ugly for a moment but he backed down.
Rating and length – easy – 1km – 20-30 min round trip
How to get there – Singsing Waterfall is located 3-4 kilometers west of Lovina Beach. The turn is not marked well but there is a pink/peach house on the left. The main road turns to the left and there is a sign for Singsing and room for motorcycle parking.
The hike – The hike starts opposite the parking area and follows a concrete ditch to the first tier. The second tier can be accessed by following a makeshift trail cut into the rock on the left side of the first tier for another 3-4 minutes. The first tier is easily accessible by anyone but the second tier requires some agility to navigate the rocky trail.
Entrance cost – donation
Guides – not needed in any way – donation but that could become a negotiation if it is not to their liking
